Yousuke Tanaka‘s practice is centred upon maritime law, including acting in the case arising from the 1997 heavy oil spill from the tanker Nakhodka. His practice also includes litigation and arbitration cases including in Japan and London, and preparing English-language charterparty contracts, vessel mortgages and escrow agency. Apart from maritime law, Yousuke also practices commercial law, taxation law, M&A, corporate auditing, insolvency and finance at Higashimachi’s Tokyo and Imabari offices. He is also involved in research activities and has had articles published in the maritime law research journal Kaijiho Kenkyukaishi published by the Japan Shipping Exchange.
