Kengo Hashiba’s latest article in his series on Japan’s vacant housing problem has been published in the 2nd April 2020 issue (No. 363) of Profession Journal. This article looks at the legal nature of the obligation to pay rent where a condomunim is built on land subject to a leasehold title.
