Peter Cassidy grew up in Perth, the state capital of Western Australia, and is registered as a foreign attorney to practice Western Australia state law and Australian commonwealth law in Japan. Before moving to Japan at the end of 2011, Peter practiced law in Perth, focusing on litigation in relation to real estate, contracts, inheritance and labour law under state law, as well as company law, insolvency, family law and immigration law under commonwealth law. He also has experience providing legal advice to Japanese nationals living in Perth.
