I am pleased to announce that Higashimachi LPC has opened an office in Osaka as of 1st June 2020. This is our fourth office in Japan, along with our other locations in Kobe, Tokyo and Imabari. Although it is close to our headquarters in Kobe, we have decided to open this new office in response to requests from our clients based in Osaka.

Our new office will be led by partner Makoto Matsumiya, and associates Nobuhiro Kotou and Hirotaka Nakura will work from both Kobe and Osaka. Through these three lawyers and the rest of our team located throughout the country, we will make use of our wealth of experience to provide support and advice in areas including domestic corporate law, large-scale insolvencies and cross-border transactions.

In response to the COVID-19 pandemic, we have expanded our capabilities to conduct remote meetings with our clients through Microsoft Teams and Zoom so that we can continue to uphold our philosophy of securing thorough communication with each of our clients. As the present times call for a “new normal”, we are expanding our presence within Japan so that we can continue to meet the needs of our clients.
